2024 -- Downsizing to Mount Washington
With Warren Schomaker continuing to decline, we began visiting Jackson, NH, almost every other week to support Leslie. Warren's 100th birthday on January 27th was a huge outpouring of support from all around the state. We brought Aspen (of course) and stopped in Northampton so she could visit Tully, Chata, and Vini. We were in Leslie's living room with Robin Clark when Warren passed on February 24. Decision to move was made shortly thereafter; immediately started divestment of belongings (antiques to Liz, Furniture Sharehouse; Freecycle; Butterscotch auction, Facebook). Staged 23MH; listed May 2; three bids "over"; contract on May 7; closing scheduled for July 17; (but Comeys later postponed to Aug 13). Leslie to NYC with us to Tess' graduation June 11. Movers emptied 23MH on July 17. Judith Economos died July 18 so our Sarasota trip cancelled. Again visited Austins in Charlestown RI, and back to Jackson for closing on 348 Carter Notch Road August 2. Tess a freshman at USC, so "Trojan Family Weekend" in Los Angeles with Butlers Sept 25-29 (also went to LA Dodgers game and Big 10 Football game in Colliseum! USC beat Wisc 38-21). Ted bought new red F150 on September 30; Nancy bought new RAV4 Prime November 13. Extremely busy with house improvements; no time for pickleball (!)

2023 -- Back to normal, or "new normal" ...
Nancy sold Halle; now more time for volunteering at Community Center, Audubon Society, Land Trust, pilates every week, plus more consulting with John Larson (Relievant again). Visited Princeton for Eric Monberg's 74th (March 4); made tribute video for Don Thompson's 80th (March 12). Kysa and Kate moved into 28 Maple Ave in April; looking nice although construction not completed by Hans Dalhaus. Visited Leslie and Warren (99) in Jackson on May 25-29. (Warren is declining; Leslie the sole caregiver). Kysa and Kate Wedding weekend June 17th in Northampton. All grandchildren visited Bedford for Nancy's birthday week as usual (this year 15 humans and 6 dogs 😀). Viking river cruise on Rhine July 15-27. Weather forced us to fly to Milano, then Basel, then cruised to Netherlands but our luggage didn't catch up until mid cruise in France! Ted had total knee replacement (right) on August 4 then Atrial Flutter landing him in hospital Sept 21st. Operation to repair the A-Flutter on Sept 29 was (apparently) successful (transesophageal echocardiogram and cardiac ablation). Nancy and Leslie to Galapagos in November. Three-week trip with O.A.T to Cyprus, Egypt, Suez Canal, Jordan in December!

2022 -- Pandemic subsiding???
We joined the Intergenerate Chicken Co-operative to start the year. Aspen had tail surgery Feb 2. Many home repairs during pandemic: boiler (3 times), water softener, BlueStar range, Generac (twice), Rumford fireplace, chimney sweep... We started getting "out" a little: visited Leslie in New Hampshire and Nancy skied; Eric Monberg's birthday in Princeton. New RAV4 Prime repair took a month (!) so we had a loaner car. Ted's back spasm 3/29 to E.R. (first back injury ever!) Ted did Archimedes scholarships again. Nancy did consulting assignment with John Larson (Relievant). Construction: Austins addition/renovation completed (stunning!); Construction: Kysa's addition plans completed and construction begun! Visited Economos kingdom in Sarasota again - spectacular - and Wendy Mager babysat Aspen! Large neighborhood party June 5. We attended 4 galas this Spring (expensive) so the pandemic seems almost over. Paved driveway just before full family arrived for Nancy's birthday week (15 humans, 5 dogs)! Then to NYC for Broadway play "Aladdin" (15 seats in Mezz first row!) Thanksgiving at the Austins in their "new house," exciting but the first year not at our house... 😞 December: we cancelled Christmas and New Years plans and parties when both Nancy and Ted got Covid! (double 😞 😞) Nancy decided to sell Halle (triple 😢 😢 😢)

2021 -- Pandemic continued...
Moderna covid vaccinations 2/11 and 3/12. Booster November 11th. Kysa and Kate took the 2019 RAV4 so Nancy could get a new plug-in hybrid (RAV4 Prime). We visited the Economos "collection" at Longboat Key in May; what a trip! Nancy's pool-hill garden professionally revamped. Got new puppy Tully, then another new puppy Aspen. Andrew Austin new job at PureVida, and Austins start renovation/addition. Kysa and Kate working with architect prepping for addition/renovation also. Charlestown, RI, is new vacation choice for all family. Wonderful Thanksgiving in Bedford with the full extended family, total 15 humans in the house and now 5 dogs (Lola, Piper, Tully, Ike, Aspen).

2020 -- Pandemic beginning March!
Instead of skiing this year, we went to Acapulco with Laura Edwards. Ted judged at one FRC event just before everything was cancelled. We stayed home (!) as did almost everyone. Rebuilt the workbench in the workshop. Butlers moved to Bedford April 5th and we cohabitated for 5 months, a delightful unanticipated benefit from the pandemic.. Julian motivated for a "houseboat" that was the hit sensation in the pool all summer. The pool patio was extended across the entire south side. Helper Gabriel Garcia continued to assist me with myriad projects every week, such as refinishing the lower level's window ledge, painting the shed, etc. We were still able to have all grandchildren families here for Mimi's birthday in July. Huge storm August 4 took down dozens of trees.

2019 -- Started the new year skiing with Dan Stowell at Copper and Aspen. Ted again at 4 FRC Regionals this year; named Volunteer of the Year at Hudson Valley Regional. Kat and Andrew took Lexus RX450h and Mimi got a new car (hybrid RAV4 XSE Sport). Tess won first place in FLOOR at states (way to go!). Another Canada vacation in July: visit Thompsons in Bathurst; PEI tour including Fireworks at Inn at Bay Fortune; Nova Scotia and back to Saint John. Kristin started new job at Wells Fargo (as MD). Andrew Austin started new job at TrueMotion (gotruemotion.com). Saratoga Races with breeder Vivian Malloy in August (spectacular). Celebrated Liz Norris' 80th birthday (9/21) at her new house in Medway (MA), then visited Leslie and Warren Schomaker in Jackson NH and learned pickle ball. Fabulous November cruise on Grand Circle from Normandy to Paris. Rebuilt the main floor exterior overhang to correct minor rotted fascia.

2018 -- Worked on Kysa's new house, prep for move in. Skiing in Park City again in January, Copper Mountain in February. FRC Regionals in Utica, Troy, Suffern. Lived in main floor MBR while Master Bathroom upstairs was renovated. Canada vacation in June: Quebec City; train to Montreal; Rotary convention in Toronto. James Norris and Meghan Barry wedding in August. Grand Circle cruise on the Danube in November, Budapest to Prague. New balcony off master bedroom. Kathryn donated a kidney!

2017 -- Fabulous 50th Reunion at MIT in June. Skied Whitefish (Montana) with the Lafayette skiers, then Utah (Deer Valley, Park City) with Dan Stowell. Ted very active organizing the first FIRST FRC Regional in Hudson Valley. Bungalow on Cape Cod again (last time?). Mini-family get-together in Holyoke for Riley Austin's state gymnastics meet. NY Mets games with Jack Rose. Kysa bought 28 Maple Ave house in December.

2016 -- Skied Telluride with Lafayette Ski Club, then Sunapee with grandchildren. Fence around pool finished. Pool opened Memorial Day for grandchildren (85 degrees!). Toured Fingerlakes in June. Bungalow again in August. Austins get Lola; Dru left Reebok December 5 for Sidekick; we went to Ritz Carlton in Puerto Rico. Helped Debbie Daum start Beadeverything. Bedford Democratic Committee new website; Ted as secretary to BDC and Treasurer to the multicandidate committee.

2015 -- Construction almost finished on 23 Meeting House Rd. Skiing Breckenridge and Aspen (as usual, but maybe for the last time?). Kentucky Derby (141) with Butlers. Ted got his second all-electric car (BMW i3). Kristin and Patrick bought new apartment in 30 West 15 Street. Our "regular" summer vacation at the Bungalow in Cape Cod was again a success. Ted officially retired from the College at the end of the academic year (September 1). Maine with Eric and Wendy in October.

2014 -- Bought new home at 23 Meeting House Rd in Bedford (March). Renovation started in July. BeadsWest closed March 18 after landlord bought out our lease. Aspen skiing for 13th consecutive year with the Moguls and Dumplings. Visited Charleston and Savannah for Aunt Janice's 90th birthday. Summer vacation again at the "Bungalow" on Cape Cod. Kent HS reunion in July. Bailey Woodhull wedding in Newport (9/27). Katharine Thompson and Taylor Frank wedding at Ocean Reef Club (11/20-23). Bought pick-up truck in October.

2013 -- Leslie Thompson and Michael Strauss wedding in DC (2/15-17). Amaya Nygreen Dube born July 23. Sold house in White Plains; stayed at Mindy Papp's for a week until rental property in Bedford. (Most furniture in storage.) Detached retina in June. Bungalow August. Portugal vacation in October.

2012 -- Leslie Schomaker to Aspen with us. Arthroscopic right knee surgery for Ted in March. Ludlow VT for 3-generation vacation in July.

2011 -- Tenth year with Moguls & Dumplings. Africa vacation in July: Arathusa in SA/Kruger, Zambia (Comaco), and Zimbabwe. Jackson, NH, for 3-generation vacation in August. Nancy's horse is now Oliver. Closed BeadsProv December 30.

2010 -- Paige Holiday Austin born January 15. Granddaddy Glen died February 16 (age 91.5). Kiran Nygreen Dube born June 21, and joined all of us in Cape Cod for 3-generation vacation in August.

2009 -- Glen had knee replacement in January (age 90). Julian Alexander Butler born March 17. Moved BeadsProv from 290 Thayer Street to 16 Bassett Street (Jewelry District) in June.

2008 -- Riley Elizabeth Austin born March 14th. Kat+Andrew bought new house in Mansfield, MA. Kysa+Arin moved to SF. Ted became Dean at Westchester Community College.

2007 -- Beadworks White Plains was founded in January; opened in April. Ted was fired by Clear Channel, then sent to New Zealand again anyway! Skied Vail instead of Aspen this year. Kysa and Arin were married August 11 in Berkeley Botanical Garden's Redwood Grove. Melanoma on Ted's chest removed in September. Kysa began as Asst. Prof. at UC Santa Cruz. Year-end buyout of Gray Horan from Beadworks Providence.

2006 -- Cooper Glen Austin born June 30th. Tess Olivia Butler born July 21st. RCS sold to Clear Channel while we were in Aspen. Nancy and Ted to New Zealand vacation for Ted's birthday.

2005 -- BEADWORKS purchase by Nancy and Gray Horan. Kysa Ph.D. Berkeley! Kat and Drew to Home Depot in Atlanta for the summer. Nancy buys Greta. Kysa in Europe with Jyothi. Kristin and Patrick in Prague. Edgemont High School 40th Reunion.

2004 -- Kristin and Patrick bought a Coop on Waverly Place for $550K. Kysa moved to Napa in January, Mt. Veeder Road next to Mayacamas. Kathryn and Andrew bought condo in Watertown for $375K. Nancy buys Cleo, moves her to George Soros (Michael Creighton) barn, then to Luposello's. Kysa to El Salvador pollwatching, then to Florida campaigning for Kerry. Nancy and Ted to US Open alone. Sunday brunch with Glen every week. Newport on July 4 for Kierstie Clark's wedding. Visit Kysa in Napa home on Lokoya Road (Mt. Veeder). Many BRLA parties and events. Aruba for December vacation trip. Nancy returned Cleo at yearend.

2003 -- Kathryn gets engaged! Nancy buys Volvo SUV. Kysa summer Mexico trip with Mom and Dad. Kristin and Patrick Butler wedding October 4. Damama died October 15; memorial service on October 31st with 200 in attendance. Kathryn and Andrew Austin married November 29. Mikey died on December 15th. New Years at Toppings again. Kysa's boyfriend is Damian Parr.

2002 -- "Moguls and Dumplings" skiing in Whistler (our first time with M+Ds). Nancy President of American Marketing Assn. Kysa brought Siobhan Nygreen home for visit. Kristin new job as Exec Director for DOE/NYC. Kysa passed general exams; teaching at Dominican College. Kathryn finished RN and working at Children's Hospital (pediatric oncology). Kysa and Brendan Neutra. Nancy changed barns from Sunnyfield to Kelly Simpson. Hampton Classic with the Torres. US Open with Fenton Soliz. Vacation in Bejing China (!) then to Woolwich ME with Eric and Wendy. Kristin gets engaged! "Faux Christmas" on the weekend before, with Kristin/Patrick, Kysa/Brendan Neutra, Kathryn/Andrew (very successful).

2001 -- March skiing in Jackson (NH) with Leslie. Lots of snow in WP. Nancy buys Mikey in April. Ted joins American Red Cross Board. Kathryn accepted at BC, Mass General, Yale. Kysa to Cuba. July birthday sail on Long Island Sound with Kristin/Patrick Butler, Kysa/Eugenio, Kathryn/Andrew Austin. Bermuda cruise October with Bev and Glen. Nancy riding Mikey 6 days/week at Sunnyfield. Kat's wrist operation; Beverly's hip operation.

2000 -- Ted to India Feb 21-March 1. Again May 2-13. Skiing with Doctors Don and Drew Thompson at Whistler in Canada March 12-18. Kathryn Tufts graduation May 21. Summer in Little Compton (Westport, MA). Kristin and Patrick. Kathryn and Andrew. US Open, Chase. Hiking in California's Yosemite for Kysa's birthday, dinner with Eugenio. Nancy buys Audi A6 Avant. London holiday after Thanksgiving. Moxie died December 12th, Kennebunkport memorial over Christmas.

1999 -- Neighborhood cocktail party in White Plains. Ted’s around the world trip in February: Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand. Chaz is lame from the move, gets an operation. Visit Kysa in LA and Berkeley in April. Ted’s achilles surgery April 19. Chaz to "summer camp" then giveaway. Ted joins ROTARY. Major home improvements to patio and walkways. Kysa enrolls UC/Berkeley; Kat moves back to Tufts; Kristin in Liz Medina Whitney wedding in Westhampton. Bob George builds stone walls, patio, new steps. Kristin/Christopher broke up 10/30/99. Puerto Vallarta for December vacation.

1998 -- Lower price of 451 Cherry Hill to $769,000. Nancy buys a new Honda Accord (black!). Kysa to Portugal and Spain for Spring vacation; Kat and Mickey to California, Kristin and Chris to California... Nancy and Ted stay home, which means Scarsdale during the week, Princeton on weekends. Finally sold house on May 22, sorta, to the Greenburgs. House hunting in Westchester all summer, finally 31 Colonial for $800,000. "RCS ONE" white BMW replaces the Seville. All 3 Ks return to visit Princeton in August. Kat+Mickey to Florida, Kris+Chris to Martha's Vineyard. Nancy gets Chaz. December: MOVE to White Plains.

1997 -- Kysa to Sevilla for Christmas break; Kathryn to Florida with Mickey... Kristin quits Jobs For Youth in order to attend Columbia School of Education. Moxie moves into The Gables on January 18. Chelsea and Dickie move to Demsie’s. Ski Breckenridge with Eric and Wendy. Change real estate brokers to Alan Wait of Weichert, re-list at $875,000. Replace carpet with Don Thompson’s hardwood flooring upstairs (1100 sq. ft.). Maria Pappano living in the apartment. Easter in Boston with Moxie. Blue Fountain Diner debut at New Music Café with Espars. Kysa’s Phi Beta Kappa induction May 19, Barnard graduation May 20, Summa Cum Laude with 4.19 GPA! Lower listing to $849,000. 1996 -- Kysa returns to Sevilla after Christmas vacation. Grandaddy’s knee replacement. Kathryn again Swimmer of the Year, applies to colleges, and visits Kysa in Spain over Easter. While in Spain, Kat’s accepted at Tufts, NYU, Vassar and Rutgers, but rejected from UPenn. She’s excited about Tufts! Nancy quits ORC, retaining a consulting relationship and focusing mostly on client Penn Traffic. List the house for $925,000 in late May with Barbara Callaway. Moxie’s stroke makes it hard for her to get around in K’port. Kysa returns from Spain in shape for senior year. Tufts parents weekend was fun Nov 1-2. Shammie died November 16th. Costa Rica vacation for Ted’s 50th birthday.

1995 -- Ted begins the RCS saga (and commute). AllJazz gets a web page and FTP service. Kristin leaves USWest, tours Grand Canyon with Nancy while en route to NYC via California. Kathryn again Swimmer of the year, and elected captain for 95-96 season. Kysa’s political theory paper gets A+ and put in library as reference model! Then Kysa’s nonviolence paper gets similar treatment from another professor! Ted to London and Paris offices. Nancy buys a Honda, Ted a matching Seville (forest green). Kristin home for the summer (Ted begins commuting to Scarsdale). Kathryn gets MVP and all 1st places at PASDA. Kysa works at Jane Altman’s law office (and West Coast Video of course). Kysa to Sevilla; Ted and Nancy visit her in Spain in October. Kathryn drives Kristin’s red Saturn to PHS every day, a cool senior with a car! Kristin working for Jobs For Youth in NYC, living with Stacy Abrams in a 4th floor walkup.

1994 -- Kristin moves to Boulder, works for USWest. Kathryn is the star swimmer for PHS, with fastest time in all her events. Swimmer of the year as a sophomore. New glasses for Nancy and Ted (varilux bifocals). Ted leaves A&A on May 31. Kathryn lifeguards for Broadmead, her first "real" job. Fabulous full family Baltic cruise on Renaissance IV in August: Copenhagen, Visby, Talinn, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm (water festival). Internet communication starts. Jeep stolen on Christmas (Balfour). Kristin is USWest Employee of the Month in September!

1993 -- Kristin senior year, January vacation in Boulder. Kysa admitted to Barnard. Kathryn’s PHS swim team is undefeated. Kysa still taking tap, voice, piano. Kristin graduates and returns to Princeton, waitressing and volunteering in Trenton Civil Rights office. Kathryn medals again in summer swim championships. No summer vacation. Kysa leaves for Barnard. Birgit Lutzke is new au pair. Shammie has 9 of 11 puppies on October 1st. ORC IPO October 27th. Kristin returns home after graduation.

1992 -- Addition to the deck (Mel Mauro). Kathryn begins her ritalin treatment. Kristin and Derrick visit Princeton in March. Kathryn visits Israel for two weeks over Easter (wow!) and tours the country with Naomi Sage. April in Europe for Kysa and the PHS Choir trip, from Colmar and Florence to Rome. Nancy and Ted to Germany, Austria and Venice, then join up with Kysa. Gold Seville. Au pair Eike Franz replaces Ute Schüler. Kristin breaks up with Derrick; to Berkeley for summer. Kathryn on swim team. Kysa to Carnegie Mellon for summer. Cancun Mexico vacation. Kristin rejoins Derrick, momentarily. Kathryn's boyfriend similar name Derrek. 1991 -- Kysa is the lead in Sweet Charity. Kristin moves out of KKG into apartment; San Diego for spring break. War in the Persian Gulf. Kathryn on track team. Kysa wins $500 in Mercer County voice competition. Glen retires our mortgage. Hilton Head vacation. Kristin's house in Evanston burns down. All 3 Ks take Jeep to Chicago, where Kristin spends summer. Kathryn to Bathurst with Thompsons. Kysa at Stagedoor Manor for 6 weeks. Nancy invests $75,000 in ORC. Kristin to American University, intern with Bill Bradley. Ute arrives from East Germany. Fall in Europe — Burgundy at harvest season in October with Leslie and Warren at La Tagnière. Kristin and Derrick.

1990 -- Kathryn swimming JOs at West Point, then quits EEX. Kysa into choir and acting, with another summer at Stagedoor Manor, then NYC every Saturday by train. Also into tap. Kristin wants to transfer; NW is too conservative. Summer in Princeton. Nancy unemployed until brief stint at Hillier Technology, then to ORC in October. Ted working on the "CIC deal." Many trips to LA on free tix April-December. Marcus Sipolt leaves apartment and Greg Hiner moves in. Britta becomes "one-day aupair." Anne Courtois fills in Oct-Dec. Kysa gets fancy keyboard. 1989 -- Nancy at OCI. Kristin skis Sugarbush, then to France for 3 weeks. More new furniture, wallpapering, stereo, new deck door. Kathryn swims to States and then to North-South meet in Frederick, MD. Heidi Schroeder arrives to replace Ann. Kysa begins composition lessons. Kysa wins 1st place in PASDA diving championships; Kathryn wins 1st place in butterfly. Kristin working at Marita's. Horans have baby and buy house August 15th. Kysa to Stagedoor Manor. Shamrock arrives April 7th (born Feb 14th). Kysa 1st place all-around in gym meet in Virginia 4/9. Ann Osborn moves in. Nancy's bid to buy Gallup loses to SRI. Kristin to Sanary, France. 1987 -- Alaska vacation on summer solstice. Andrea Rawert arrives. Kristin to Colorado Outward Bound. Kysa to Woodward. Kysa and Kathryn on BBC swimming team. Refinance mortgage at $225,000. Finally buy at our 4th Napa Valley auction. Andi crashes Chevette twice. K'Port and Jersey Shore also. Richie and Gray Horan tenants. Porsche 944. Cinnamon finally gives out, but kittens Chelsea and Chip(wich) arrive.

1986 -- Anniversary Breakfast at Brennan's in New Orleans. Polo in Pennsylvania. Ted commuting to Atlanta again (Mar-Aug). AI Mentor shrinks. Summer at Bedens Brook and Bergman's house. All 3 girls win on the swim team. Kristin dating Thad. Kysa gymnastics every day! Gabrielle leaves; Doris Weber is au pair. Nancy becomes VP/Marketing at Gallup. Kathy Beaver, MD, our first tenant.

1985 -- Nygreen family reunion in Palo Alto in March. Hawaii (Kuaui) in April with Moxie for Easter vacation. Move back to Princeton. Carole leaves for France; Annette Dreise becomes au-pair. Nancy commuting to Palo Alto. K'Port in summer, visit Liz in N. Conway. Ted job hunting. New Ford Tractor. Annette quits 9/15. Gabriele Sebald moves in 12/6. Construction underway for a bigger house.

1984 -- Moved to 1554 Walnut Drive, Palo Alto. Monterrey Dunes and Pajaro in the summer. Helle returns to Denmark. Carole Hannhart au-pair. Napa Valley Wine Auction. Wine tastings every weekend. Hong Kong for Thanksgiving. EntreNet and AI Mentor start. Kristin wins first place in State on Beam. Disney Land Easter. Skiing at Heavenly Valley. Bristin's Bakes. 1983 -- Aspen vacation with Leslie and Clark and Ginger Lennon. Ted NYC based all year. Nancy President of Council of Community Services; Nygreen Professional Services fills out her time. Nantucket in summer at unnamed 'Sconset house with Moxie visiting. Helle Anderson au-pair. Fall commute to California in preparation for move. Iron gate in wine cellar.

1982 -- Key West winter vacation. Washington DC RIMS. Nantucket summertime at Fiddler's Green (in 'Sconset as usual). PCs arrive! (PCs, XTs, even Compaq!).

1981 -- Ted commuting to Atlanta. Vacation in Nantucket Out'r Site.

1980 -- Ted joins A&A. Long driveway paved with asphalt. Montauk management meeting.

1979 -- Move into new house in January. Buy 2 new vehicles in January (Jeep truck and Chevy station wagon). Sue Steen babysitter every day.

1978 -- Ground breaking for new house at 451 Cherry Hill Road. Flew Apache with Jim Leonard to San Juan, PR, including right engine failure and 3-week layover in Florence, SC. Kathryn arrives before our bigger house is built. Rinda Dean is the babysitter.

1977 -- Nancy gets a job at Gallup in January, then completes her Ph.D. in June. Started the year flying Superman`s Cherokee 140 (Chris Reeve). MIT reunion trip visiting Fisher's Island (Klaus and Vera) en route. To Bermuda for wedding anniversary. Drawings for new house are started and topographical survey and sewer permit look OK... Aunt Leslie gets divorced, but Aunt Liz gets married. Kysa starts UNOW, and Kristin goes to the after-school YWCA program.

1976 -- Ted flies IFR to visit Bill Wilt in Albany; special ski trip in Smuggler's Notch with Andy Snider; take Julian Bond on campaign trail for Morris Udall; Hublein wine tasting in Boston; fly Archibald Cox to Colt's Neck; Flew Stewart Udall to Washington DC; "sold" share of the Cherokee Six.

1975 -- Nancy and Ted take the Cherokee 180 to Vermont for skiing; to Bill Temple's on Block Island; Nantucket with Leslie+George Wilshire from Kennebunkport. Kysa arrives in Princeton hospital. Kristin goes to Johnson Park. Kysa's babysitter is Penny Carbonaro. Ted gets Commercial pilots license at yearend.

1974 -- Kristin attends Stuart School. Instrument rating. Cross-country flight in Cherokee Six with Jim Leonard to ARMA/Seattle then LA/Dallas/home.

1973 -- Nancy and Kristin visit Bermuda while Ted on jury duty. Ted gets CDP. American Association of Blood Banks (Vera and Klaus Mayer arranged), so we flew everywhere, including Miami convention with Steve Feldman. Kristin starts U-NOW. Nancy meets Roberta Sigel. Refinanced mortgage to build garage addition.

1972 -- Ted's Ph.D. was awarded. Built Kristin a playhouse in the woods. Kristin meets Mama Mucci.

1971 -- Kristin's first babysitter was Debbie Johnson. We went to ASA meeting in Denver, driving in our Impala, and the basement flooded. Ted begins part-time commuting to NBC on loan from RCA. Nancy is teaching assistant for John Strange.

1970 -- Ted won the RCA Outstanding Achievement Award for 1969, and with the $1000 bonus bought a new Honda 450 motorcycle. Ted gets MA. Nancy quits teaching and takes up graduate school. Housesitting for the summer in the Oppenheim's. Moved into 459 Cherry Hill Road - our first house. Kristin came three months later.

1969 -- Our first trip to Kennebunkport for Leslie and George's wedding. Nancy finished her BA and started teaching at Stuart Country Day school, with Ted still working full time at RCA Labs.

1968 -- Ted's summer job at RCA Labs surreptitiously became full-time when the draft board stopped acknowledging student deferments. We moved from Eisenhower Street to King Street, near the Knapps and the Johnsons, and Nancy started commuting to NYU. In December we got a brand new '69 Chevrolet Impala.

1967 -- On June 17th, we left Scarsdale for a Bermuda honeymoon, and returned to New York City, where we lived in the "upper west village" near Bank and Bethune streets for the summer. To Butler Tract in Princeton on Labor Day, and our adult life began.
