Ted Nygreen is a retired corporate executive and information technology expert.
In 2015, Dr. Nygreen finally retired from his (encore) career as Dean of Technology at Westchester Community
College. [The full name of the School was “Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering and Physical Sciences and
Technologies.]
Previously, Ted’s career was in business. From 1995 to 2007, he was General Manager and Chief Technology Officer for Radio
Computing Services. Prior to RCS, Ted was Managing Director of the Alexander Consulting Group, Inc., an
international management consulting firm, and before that Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of
Anistics, Inc.
His career started at RCA and NBC, where he had several management positions. In his first job, he was awarded the
RCA Laboratories Outstanding Achievement Award.
While at NBC, where he was the youngest vice president at the time, he taught computer science and
telecommunications as an adjunct Assistant Professor at Baruch College.
Dr. Nygreen has been active in Westchester County, serving on the Boards of
the American Red Cross, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Rotary
District 7230, the Rotary Club of White
Plains (Executive Director, Webmaster, President), the Bedford
Democratic Committee, and the Town of Bedford Communications Advisory
Committee..
He supports FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and serves as
Judge Advisor at
FIRST Robotics Competition regional events.
Ted was involved with many professional
associations, and has published articles and spoken on a range of subjects from information technology to
managing organizational change.
Ted has a Bachelor of Science degree from M.I.T., and a M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University. He lives in
Bedford with his wife Dr. Nancy Nygreen. They have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren.
